The woman opened her door and let the cold cat inside, but not before taking a series of snaps of him which she after sent it to Marie Simard – owner of the rescue shelter, Un Chat à la Fois. Since the poor little soul was a deplorable condition, the woman rushed him to the clic.

“It broke my heart to see him, so I told her to take the cat to the vet and not even 30 minutes later, he was at our partner clinic,” Marie told Bored Panda. ““He went into the carrier by himself and once he got to the vet, he was very easy-going, he let the vet do the checkup and everything. We named the cat Aslan, in honor of the lion in The Chronicles of Narnia series.”

On a further examination, they found Aslan was suffering of a lot of sicknesses including “rotten teeth, frostbite, a bite wound and fleas. He also had diabetes and skin allergy. But despite his condition, Aslan was extremely friendly and grateful with the people that were helping him. That made them to believe he wasn’t born on the streets, but rather abandoned.

Sick and exhausted, Aslan would not have survived the winter, but thankfully he just met the right person and his life was about to change forever! After undergoing surgeries for his rotten teeth and his eyes problems, Aslan looks better by the day and everyone at the shelter feels he will soon make a fully recovery. He even befriended two other rescue cats!
